"The Roar"

I created this newest video for the Fugitive Projects' 60 Second Video Project (2009), which I was just invited to participate in. The footage is edited down from a pivotal scene in Jean-Jacques Annaud's "The Bear" (1988), which I first saw as a child. Other influences include Sonic Youth, Jimi Hendrix, camping, and a bit of that old fear and anxiety regarding wilderness that's been the fuel for all my videos lately...

(Note: I re-posted a newer version of this video on 3/3/09 which reflects a richer, more layered soundtrack that I'm a lot happier with.)

AHHH!

When I saw at first that you listed Sonic Youth and Jimi Hendrix as your influences, I thought, "Hmmm I wonder how?"

Totally unexpected and awesome.
