Last week I posted an interview with Janay Brun in two parts over on the Justseeds blog. Janay worked with Macho B, who was, until his untimely death in March 2009, the only documented jaguar still roaming into the United States from Mexico. Janay came forward after he was euthanized to expose her supervisors and culpable state and national agencies for a laundry list of fumbles in conservation, sparking a federal investigation into which she herself became tangled. You can read the interview in two parts here (part one) and here (part two). Jessica McPherson, who conducted the interview with me, produced a radio spot for Pittsburgh's Independent Media Center: Rustbelt Radio, which elaborates on the history of jaguar and wolf conservation in the U.S. - you can listen to the 27 minute spot here.
